Petrova, former No 3 in WTA tour (2006) faces young rising french Rezai.
No doubt that experience is on the side of Petrova, but one thing here
makes her worry…
Petrova played just few tournaments in 2008 and she is 6 -10 singles record (won-lost).
So she must be out of shape here remembering old days of glory.

Miami: L to Zheng (174) retired after 2 - 1 in games !!!
Berlin: W Srebotnik (28) and L to Kirilenko (27)
Rome: L to Kirilenko (26) again…
Istanbul: W Osterloch (114) and Domachovska (77) and L to Amanmuradova in QF
On the other side, look how Rezai is rising her performance.
First she lost few matches and then boom Fes, almost got the final there:
Miami: L to Wozniak (No.143) in R 128
Amelia Island: L to Makarova (No.79) in R64
Charleston: W Sequera (96) R64 , L to Rodionova (88) R32
Then she showed good performance in Fes:
W King (111), W De los Rios (91), W Kleybanova (69) and L to Dulko (62) in semifinals
and after that bad play in Berlin where she lost in R64 against Amanmuradova (65)
but it’s obvious here that she’s thinking about RG…
And her record in 2008 is 11 - 9 which is better than Petrova
(Ranks are showed as they were the day match played)
Of course it wouldn’t be easy to beat petrova but i’m counting on extra support
from visitors becouse she is french native…
It could be one small detail to push her in the next round of RG
